From the beginning in 1993, Antonio S. Fonseca distinctly knew that if Packaging & More could offer the same type of service and pricing as the big-box companies to the independent supermarkets and restaurants of Southern New England, then distributors, retailers and customers would all benefit. Now in the hands of the second generation of the Fonseca family, Packaging & More continues to operate by the same credo of reliable service with optimal pricing. By carrying the best items at the lowest prices, local, independent food service operators accept the same, strong quality from their paper distributor as they pass on to their clientele.

Antonio S. Fonseca and Dianne C. Fonseca have been active owners in Packaging & More since its inception in 1993. Lifelong Rhode Islanders, the Fonsecas met in 1968 while working together at Big G Supermarkets. While Dianne went on to teach high school Spanish and Italian, Tony pursued a career in the grocery industry, eventually leaving the retail side in the mid 1980s and joining Roger Williams Foods, a grocery wholesaler in Lincoln, Rhode Island. After successfully commencing the packaging division at Roger Williams, a series of acquisitions and mergers left Tony thirsting to run his own operation. In 1993, he gambled that with his local connections and a growing need for a Southern New England based packaging distributor, Packaging & More would thrive in and around the Providence Area. He was right.

Married in 1971, the Fonsecas have lived in Smithfield, Rhode Island since 1975. Tony attended both Pawtucket West High School and U.R.I., and was born and raised less than a mile from Packaging & More's current location. He is a veteran of the United States Navy and the Vietnam War, and has been an active member on the Smithfield Town Zoning Board since 1998. Since 2005, both of Tony and Dianne's sons, Tony and Vincent, have been with the company full time.

Vincent Fonseca
Vincent Fonseca makes up half of the second generation of the Fonseca family currently overseeing the day to day operations. A graduate of Loyola College in Maryland, Vin brought his degree in Mathematics and four year Division I swimming experience to Packaging & More full time in 2003. Vincent primarily handles the purchasing and is the main contact to Packaging & More’s vendors and manufacturers. He lives in East Providence, RI with his wife Brenda.

Antonio E. Fonseca
Antonio E. Fonseca is the other second generation family member currently directing Packaging & More. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Tony brought his Bachelor of Arts and four year Division I swimming experience to Packaging & More full time in 2005. Tony principally oversees the sales side of the business, personally handling many of the outstanding relationships Packaging & More has with its customers. He lives in Rumford, Rhode Island, with his wife Jennifer.

Eleanor Poli
Office Manager
Eleanor Poli was the first outside employee hired at Packaging & More. She began with the company in 1994 as a jack of all trades: managing the office, answering the phones, handling data entry and accounts payable, and even occasionally visiting customers. She has evolved into the full fledged office manager, overseeing a tenured staff of Laurie Cate and Christine Rodrigues, and serving as Packaging & More’s main customer service link to their clientele. She lives in Cumberland, RI with her husband and two children.

Jose Amaro
Warehouse Manager
Jose Amaro began immediately overseeing the warehouse operation on his first day of employment in 2007 and, with over 15 previous years of warehouse operation knowledge, brings extensive shipping and receiving experience to Packaging & More. He works with a dedicated staff that picks orders, receives deliveries, and coordinates outgoing shipments. Bob Boulris, Del Senecal, and Joe Lopes have all been with Packaging & More since 2007. Jose lives in West Warwick, RI with his wife Younmi.

Charlie Bishop
Outside Sales
Charles Bishop has been with Packaging & More since 1997. Upon his hiring, he had the arduous task of selling a new distributor to many longstanding markets, bakeries, and delis. A lifelong employee in food service, Charlie is one of the most well known Rhode Islanders in the industry. His commitment to customer service and the personal relationships he establishes with his clientele create a bond very seldom seen in any industry. Charlie lives in Cumberland, RI with his wife Mary, and has three children and three stepchildren.
